About Us
CHICHI Fening Foundation is a family nonprofit organization established on 15th September 2022, in loving memory of Kwadwo Nyantakyi Fening. Kwadwo was a final year student of the KNUST Medical school who had desired in writing to set up a foundation to support the needy sick after completing medical school.
The Foundation believes that a different kind of healthcare system is possible in our society where the needy sick could benefit from support regardless of their social standard. Our uniqueness is that we are focused on building trust among our donors and partners who can always check how their donations are utilized.
Our HistoryWhat We Do?
Providing hope for the needy sick through prayer, visitation, food and clothing as well as financial support
Free medical outreach for the needy sick
Free medical outreach for the needy sick is a compassionate initiative designed to provide essential healthcare services to individuals who lack access to proper medical attention. This program offers free consultations, screenings, treatments, and health education to vulnerable groups facing financial or geographical barriers. By bringing medical care directly to communities, the outreach helps detect illnesses early, reduce the burden of disease, and improve overall well-being. It ensures that the sick and underprivileged receive the support they need to live healthier and more dignified lives.
Provision of Food and clothing
Providing food and clothing for the poor and needy is an act of compassion and solidarity, addressing the immediate and essential needs of vulnerable communities. This initiative aims to alleviate hunger, provide proper clothing, and ensure that individuals facing economic hardships have access to nutritious meals and adequate attire. It involves distributing food supplies and clothing, organizing support programs, or partnering with shelters and community groups that care for those in need.
Deworming of school children
Deworming of school children is a vital public health initiative aimed at improving the overall well-being, growth, and academic performance of young learners. This exercise helps eliminate intestinal parasites that can cause malnutrition, anemia, and reduced concentration in the classroom. By providing safe and effective deworming medication, schools help protect children from preventable health challenges and promote better attendance, improved cognitive development, and stronger immunity. Deworming programs contribute significantly to healthier students and a more productive learning environment.
Financial support for the needy sick
Providing financial support to those who are sick and in need is a crucial aspect of social welfare. This support aims to assist individuals who are facing health challenges and may be experiencing financial strain due to medical expenses, inability to work, or other related circumstances. Access to health insurance or specific medical assistance programs can significantly alleviate the financial burden on sick individuals by covering medical bills, treatments, and hospital expenses.
